Andy would tell you that software engineering is his vocation. He would also say that being a backend developer at Windsor Circle is a great way to serve his fellow man.

It wasn’t always this way, though; Andy took the long path to software. He took a few computer science courses in high school, but, incredibly, decided to pursue a BA in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Colorado at Boulder. After some time working in a lab, he knew he wanted to go back to school. This time he headed east from his native Denver, Colorado to Raleigh, specifically North Carolina State University. Through his master’s thesis work in the simulation and optimization of water distribution networks he really fell in love with coding.

Today, he lives in Raleigh with his wife Emily where he places high value on things like family, work, church, life long learning, fitness, food, and adventure.
