Ah, yes. Marketing! Hopefully you’ve had the chance to better acquaint yourself with the Client Success, Sales, and Relationship Management Teams from previous blog posts. And now, it is time to unveil the curtain and showcase the masterminds of Windsor Circle’s Marketing department! Among other achievements, they are extending the Windsor Circle brand further each and every day, whether it be through our newsletter, case studies, webinars, or this illustrious blog.
The team consists of both fútbol and football fanatics, dog-lovers, and beer enthusiasts. Whether it’s Monday morning or Friday afternoon, the group’s optimistic attitude allows them to have fun in the midst of a typically hectic and stockpiled week.
Team members hail from the warmth of Alabama to the cold of Michigan, with a varying background of previous work experience. Before their time at Windsor Circle, some co-workers ventured at Bronto, Belk, and Target, to name a few. The diverse spectrum of backgrounds creates a unique setting to pursue marketing in the retention automation space.
Andrew Pearson, VP of Marketing and one of Windsor Circle’s initial investors, shared his thoughts on what makes the Marketing Team click. Known as a serial entrepreneur, Andrew has had experience in the startup and email marketing realm for over 15 years.
Here are a series of questions Andrew and I explored:
Q: Who is your marketing inspiration and role model?
“Hubspot’s CMO, Mike Volpe. Hubspot came into a crowded marketing space and flipped the model on its head: they created the philosophy behind inbound marketing. Just as they created this universe, we strive for Windsor Circle to create the universe and go-to platform for retention automation marketing.”
Q: How would you describe Windsor Circle’s marketing team?
“Feisty, hard-working, incredibly efficient, very creative, and a good family.”
Q: How would you sum up your job in three words?
“Keep the trains running on time. That was not three words.”
Q: Most strange thing on your desk?
“A jar of vegemite.” (He’s an Australian native!)
Q: What are you reading outside of work?
“I am currently catching up on the most recent issues of National Geographic!”
With my three words, I would describe Andrew as the Central Communication Hub. He’s always willing to listen and keep the team on the right track. Being an intern in the marketing department over the past few months, I can attest to Andrew’s words. The marketing team is a high-spirited, collaborative, and dedicated cohort willing to take on any challenge. I’ve been fortunate to learn from such transparent and hard working mentors.
